Our D-KAT range uses the Goldmann method of measuring intraocular pressure (IOP), which is to calculate the force required to flatten (applanate) a constant area (3.06mm) of the cornea to aide in the screening and diagnosis of glaucoma.
Usage overview
The D-KAT T (Takeaway) is a screening device used to measure intraocular pressure which is one of the key biomarkers considered in diagnosing glaucoma. It is intended to be used by suitably trained and authorised healthcare professionals only.
As an accessory for tower style slit lamps, there are two variants; the R-type is mounted on the optical body post for a secure fix, whilst the T-type can easily be removed for wider use within a multiple slit lamp practice.
